03/21/2011 – The women's lacrosse team remained perfect as the Saints defeated Western Michigan by the score of 25-4. The victory improved Aquinas' record to 9-0 on the season, while the loss drops the Broncos record to 0-2.
The Saints wasted little time in establishing a dominating presence in this contest. Aquinas, who was playing their third match in the last four days, executed their offense and kept the Broncos on their heels most of the afternoon.
Aquinas was led by the trio of Kati Rogers, Michelle Murphy and Lauren McCarty. Rogers recorded three goals and five assists, while Murphy chipped in with two goals and six assists. McCarty scored a game high six goals and dished out three assists.
Aquinas will travel to Olivet College (1-3) on Wednesday to battle the Comets.
