Two School Records Fall at Adrian Invitational

04/11/2011 – Alicia Dorko and Dustin Heiler's performances headlined the efforts by the Saints at Adrian on Saturday. Dorko, who is fresh off her basketball season, jumped eleven feet to establish a new school record in the pole vault. Dorko's jumped earned top honors in the event on Saturday. Heiler, who established four indoor school records, continues to rewrite the record book with a new record in the 1500 meters (3:54.26). Dustin's time eclipsed Stan Sidor's record from 1978 and also automatically qualifies him for the NAIA National Championships.

Other first place finishes were turned in by Brooke Fuller who won the 400 meter dash in 60.68, while Emily Smith captured the discus title with a toss of 44.92 meters. Joordan Hall was a double winner breaking the tape first in both the 100 meter (12.60) and 200 meter (25.80).

Aquinas will return to action on Saturday at the Northwood Invitational.
