Saints Earn Six Firsts at Houseman Field

04/25/2011 – Aquinas hosted the Ernie Mousseau Track & Field Classic over the weekend at Houseman Field. The Saints recorded six first place finishes and continue to prepare for the WHAC Championships in two weeks.

Leading the way for the Saints was sprinter, Joordan Hall, who captured the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.36. Hall also teamed up with Samantha DeStefano, Madison Koenig and Alicia Dorko to win the 4x100 meter relay. The foursome covered the one-lap relay in 49.15. Rachel Luehm claimed top honors in the women's 5000 meter as she ran a personal best time of 18:24. Also winning the discus was Aquinas' Emily Smith who had a toss of 140-2.

On the men's side, Devin Lea (5000 meter) outdistanced the competition to win in a time of 15:13. Dustin Heiler also led a strong Aquinas contingent in the 1500 meter with a winning time of 3:55.

Aquinas will return to action this weekend as they host the Aquinas College Quad Meet at Houseman Field.
