Saints Win Regional, Advance to Nationals

05/02/2011 – The men's tennis team won a pair of matches over the weekend to advance them to the NAIA National Championships in Mobile, Alabama. The Saints improved to 24-3 on the season and will now set their sights on Nationals that will be contested on two weeks.

On Friday, Aquinas made quick work of St. Ambrose 5-0. The championship match on Saturday featured Midwest tennis powers #14 Aquinas and #19 Olivet Nazarene. The Saints prevailed 5-4 on the strength of winning four of the singles matches.

The NAIA National Competition begins on May 17 and runs through May 21st in Mobile, Alabama.
