Women Second, Men Third at WHAC Championships

05/07/2011 – Joordan Hall's victory and school record (12.00) in the 100 meter dash highlighted an exciting championship contested at Houseman Field. The women finished in second place with 151 points, while the men finished in third with 123 points.

Eleven Saints were named to the All-WHAC team for earning first place performances at the Conference Championships. Representatives from Aquinas on the All-WHAC squad included: Joordan Hall (100 Meters), Nick Thelen (800 Meters), Rachael Steil (5000 Meters), Katy Cramer (10,000 Meters), Devin Lea (10,000 Meters), Emily Smith (Discus), Justin Marquardt (Shot Put) and the 4x800 Meter Relay (Charles Irmen, Stephen Huizing, Kolin Stickney and Dustin Heiler).

Hall's time in the 100 meter not only broke the school record, but also qualified Joordan automatically for the NAIA National Championships. Also qualifying was Devin Lea who hit the provisional qualifier in the 10,000 meter.

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday as the Saints host the Aquinas College Twilight Meet starting at 4 p.m.
