10/02/2011 – The women's soccer team recorded their sixth consecutive shutout in a 3-0 win at Rochester College. The victory improves the Saints record to 9-3, while the Warriors fall to 6-7 with the setback.
The Saints defense continues to impress as their opponents have failed to score in the last six matches. The last goal to get by the Saints keeper occurred on September 7th against Spring Arbor. Speaking of the Saints keeper, Kelsey Duley was credited with the victory in this match as she stopped all three shots on goal.
Aquinas scored all three of their goals in the first eleven minutes of the game. Melissa Hogan recorded her seventh and eighth goals of the season during the early game flurry. Jaime Tomaszewski added to her team lead in goals (11) with the games final score at the 10:23 mark.
Aquinas will begin conference action on Wednesday as the Saints travel to Cornerstone (4-5-1, 0-1 WHAC) to play the Golden Eagles at 4 p.m.
