Saints Stay Perfect in WHAC

10/22/2011 – The women's soccer team extended their winning streak to eleven games as the Saints defeated Madonna 3-1. The victory improves Aquinas' record to 5-0 in the league and to 14-3 overall. Meanwhile the Crusaders fall to 6-7-1 on the season and are now 1-3-1 in the WHAC.

Early offense was provided by Elizabeth Vaughan who connected on a laser off a free kick during the 15th minute of play. Madeline Rammal added to the advantage with an early second half goal to build the lead to 2-0. The Crusaders continued to battle and closed the gap to one as Kaitlyn Krysiak notched her seventh goal of the season. The Saints closed the scoring on a goal by Chelsea Dennis during the 86th minute to secure the Aquinas victory. Kelsey Duley was credited with the victory and seven saves to keep the Saints winning streak alive.

Aquinas will return to action on Saturday as they host Davenport (10-6, 3-1 WHAC) with the WHAC Championship on the line.
