Saints Finish Two Shots Off The Pace

09/22/2012 – The women's golf team placed third at the second WHAC Jamboree of the season. The nine teams squared off for two rounds at Salem Hills Golf Club and at the Gateway Golf Club. The event was hosted by Madonna University.

The host Crusaders claimed the overall team victory, while Indiana Tech's Megan Garrison, was crowned the individual medalist. Aquinas shot a total of 664 strokes (+88) and was led by Abby Hagan who placed second overall and carded (+19) over the two days. Aquinas also received scoring efforts from Morgan Leep and Kristina Raiz, who both shot matching 22-over's and tied for eighth place. The scoring was rounded out by Alicia Flood who shot (+26) and placed 13th overall.

Aquinas now sits in second place overall after the first two conference events. The Saints trail only Indiana Tech by seven strokes for the conference top spot.

The Saints will return to action on Thursday as they host the league at Scott Lake Country Club for the third jamboree of the season.
