04/27/2013 – The men's lacrosse team concluded their season with an early elimination from the 2013 CCLA Tournament. The Saints fell victim to the team from Indiana Tech. The Warriors improved to 7-5 overall, while the Saints finished the season with a 6-10 record. Indiana Tech will now square off with Siena Heights in the CCLA Semifinals.
The Saints, who had lost earlier in the season 17-2 to the Warriors, were looking to spring the upset on the highly ranked squad from Fort Wayne. The early going was promising for the Saints as they found themselves tied at three midway through the first period. The forecast quickly changed as the Warriors controlled faceoffs and kept the Saints offense off the attack. Over the next two-plus periods the Warriors would score 20 of the next 21 goals. The Saints would succumb to Indiana Tech 26-6, thus ending their season.
Tim Hansen scored three goals, while Zach Brancheau added two goals and an assist for the Saints.
