04/30/2013 – Lexi Popma, a freshman from Wyoming, was tabbed the WHAC Softball Player of the Week for her play over the final week of the season.
Popma led the Saints to an 8-2 record and hit safely in all ten games. Lexi's current hitting streak is the longest in school history. Popma batted .500 for the week with 16 hits and three RBIs. Lexi also scored 14 runs and was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases.
Popma and the rest of the Saints return to play on Wednesday as they travel to Battle Creek to take part in the WHAC Tournament.
