Men's 400 Meter Record Broken Twice

05/09/2013 – Caleb Teachout and Jason Parnell both eclipsed the previous school record held by Josh Robach from the 2006 season.

In school history, Robach (48.79) had been the only Saint ever to break 49.0 in the men's 400 meter. At the Aquinas College Twilight both Teachout and Parnell broke the record. Teachout won the race in a time of 48.40, while Parnell finished in third with a mark of 48.65. Teachout's time was a provisionally qualifier and ranks him 14th nationally in the 400M. Caleb has also hit qualifying marks in the 800 meter, 4x800 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay. Parnell will join Teachout in the men's 4x400 relay.

Overall the Saints claimed six first place finishes and will close the regular season out on Friday at the GVSU Second to Last Chance meet.
