Michael C. De Meyer is Principal of De Meyer Brand Consultants. He has served as independent marketing and branding counsel to many organizations and his expertise is highly regarded by CEO’s and senior executives in both industry and the nonprofit sectors.
As a marketing and branding expert strategist, Michael has worked with a host of organizations in a wide range of industries to develop strong market positions and create powerful brand identities. He is known for his ability to lead organizations through an inside-out, outside-in process that results in a true and distinct brand identity and positioning.  He is a strong advocate for businesses, nonprofit organizations and institutions, leveraging the power of branding as a foundation for growth and sustainability.  His visionary and collaborative approach complimented by his strong leadership skills allows him to work effectively with diverse groups in a wide variety of organizational settings.
Michael has held a variety of senior executive positions in his diverse career, in both the public and the private sectors, including positions with United Way, AlloyTek, Inc., Rospatch Corporation and as CEO of a national consulting/design business. His marketing and business experience spans a variety of industries including aerospace, consumer electronics, RTA furniture, fancy foods, retail and textiles. He also has vast experience in the nonprofit sector in marketing, communications and donor relations.
As a speaker, Michael has addressed local, national and international audiences speaking on topics related to branding and marketing.    
Michael has served on the International Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) headquartered in New York.  In addition, he is a past chair of JDRF’s Public Affairs Committee.  He also served on the Government Relations, International Development, Field Operations and Children’s Congress Committee’s of JDRF.  He led JDRF’s international branding initiative that launched in 2000.
He has served as an adjunct professor at Davenport University, teaching the capstone classes in both the management and marketing curriculums.  He presently is an adjunct professor in the School of Communications at Grand Valley State University and the Business Department at Aquinas College.
Previous affiliations include service on several Board of Directors including: Catholic Social Services; The Society for Training and Development, West Michigan Chapter; The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, West Michigan Chapter; The American Marketing Association, West Michigan Chapter and The Urban Institute for Contemporary Art. 
Michael holds a BA degree in General Business from Western Michigan University; a MA degree in Management from Aquinas College and a Certificate of Management Skills from United Way of America’s National Academy of Voluntarism.
