Life at Aquinas College

Cook Carriage House

>The Moose Cafe
Beginning as the Carriage House for the Lowe family, the Cook Carriage House has had a storied tradition at Aquinas College. Not only has it housed the Campus Life Office and Moose Café, it was once used as a theater! The Cook Carriage House was also the campus’ science center before Albertus Magnus Hall was opened in 1960.
Services Provided
When you walk through the front door of the historic Cook Carriage House, the aroma of freshly baked cookies and gourmet coffee fill the air, and the building is abuzz with conversation, laughter, music, and the faint clicking of computer keys. The newly renovated building features two levels furnished with new furniture, contemporary artwork, game equipment, and meeting space.
On the main level is where you will find The Moose Café, a full-service coffee and snack bar. It's the perfect place to grab a latte on the way to class or sip a chai while discussing a project with fellow classmates, sitting around high-top tables or lounging on comfortable chairs. You can even check out a laptop with wireless Internet access while you’re there, or do your banking at the Lake Michigan Credit Union ATM.
Campus Life Office
The place for all of a student’s co-curricular needs. The office manages all of Aquinas’ clubs and organizations. A professional or student staff member is in the office Monday through Friday during regular business hours to meet students' needs.
Registered Student Organization Office
Located upstairs, the RSO Office gives students in a club or organization resources to work on activities related to their club or organization. The office includes five computers, a copy machine, telephones, desk space, and a conference area not to mention the home of our Diversity Resource Center and the new and improved AQ radio station, AQSound!
TV/Game Room
Upstairs you will find a game room furnished with billiards, table tennis, foosball, air hockey, a stand-up arcade game, a big screen TV, and living room style seating... a perfect place to socialize, study, or watch your favorite show.
The Center for Diversity & Inclusion
Curious about cross-cultural issues and traditions? Want to help with inclusion efforts on campus and in the broader community? Get involved with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
