Career Development
A variety of program resources and services are available to give Aquinas alumni the opportunity to manage and further develop their careers. Career counselors are available to meet with you on an individual basis to assist with:
  • Goal setting
  • Resume and cover letter development
  • Job search strategies
  • Effective interviewing skills
  • Portfolio development
The Career Resource Library and How-to Guides are available to help you build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to conduct a successful job search campaign or explore different career paths. The Career Resource Library contains a wide selection of books, periodicals and organization information that can assist you with career and graduate school research as well as your job search. Our How-to Guides feature topics such as interviewing, resume and cover letter development and networking.

Computers are available in the Resource Library for and resume and cover letter writing and web-based career research.

Employment Opportunities
Current job postings are available for review in the Resource Library of the Career Services Office. Our extensive bank of job postings includes part-time and full-time opportunities. These opportunities, from local, national and international organizations, are updated on a regular basis.

eRecruiting is Aquinas’ web-based recruiting program which provides connections with over 500 employers nationwide. In eRecruiting, alumni can register to view employment opportunities, post their resumes, and view company information.

On-campus interviews are conducted by employers throughout the academic year. Qualified alumni are invited to participate in the on campus interviewing process. A current on-campus interview schedule is maintained on the eRecruiting Web site.

Teacher credential services are available for education majors who are certified to teach. Career Services staff will maintain your individual file containing the credential information required for application to teaching positions. When you have chosen a position for which you would like to apply, simply contact Career Services and relay the contact information. Our staff will ensure that your application materials are certified by professional staff and mailed promptly. There is a minimal processing fee for each credential file sent.

Graduate/Professional School Preparation
Many graduates choose to continue their education on a full-time or part-time basis, either immediately after completing the bachelor's degree or at a later date. Graduate school catalogs and staff consultations are available to assist students and alumni considering and/or pursing graduate school application. Information on a variety of schools and programs is also available in the Resource Library. Twice a year, practice exams for the MCAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT are given on campus to provide an opportunity to experience what the tests will be like. Practice test schedules are available in the office of the Dean of Student Development.

Career Services provides a list of Web sites which offer information on graduate school choices, testing, financial aid and other matters pertaining to your post baccalaureate education.
