Internships |
| Career Services works with over 200 companies and organizations locally and nationally to help you attain an internship in your chosen field of study. |
| |
| Why an internship may be right for you: |
| Since 1972, thousands of Aquinas students have found internships in Grand Rapids, around the nation and in specialized programs such as the Walt Disney World College Program. Many of our traditional-age students gain credit through an internship experience.
Often, Aquinas College interns receive job offers from their internship employers. Internships offer you experience, academic credit, personal growth, professional development, and may include a salary or stipend.
The Career Services department conducts an on-site evaluation for students during their internship. The on-site evaluation brings the intern and supervisor together to ensure the student receives the best possible internship experience available. |

| Internship Information Sessions |
| Internship information Group sessions are usually held in the Career Services office a couple of times per week including most Wednesdays during business hours and most Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. (Additional times are available upon request.)
At this session you will learn: registration procedures for internships, criterion for an internship to be approved for credit, how to find an internship, and the policies and procedures concerning the internship program. To sign up for an information session, call (616) 632-2905. An information session is required before registration. |

| International Internships |
| Individual advising is available for students hoping to complete an international internship. Due to varying immigration laws, safety considerations and language barriers, special restrictions apply to these internships. If you are considering completing your internship in a country other than the United States, it is recommended that you begin planning your internship at least one year in advance. Call (616) 632-2905 to schedule an appointment to discuss your plans with the Internship Coordinator. |
