| Student Presents Research at Regional ACS Meeting |
 |
| Aquinas chemistry major Molly Soper ('10) presented a poster at the Central Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Cleveland, Ohio, in May 2009. Molly worked with Dr. Elizabeth Jensen during the summer of 2008 on a research project that involved synthesis of several liquid crystal compounds that contained transition metal ions. This project was funded by a Mohler-Thompson Summer Research grant. The resulting compounds were analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry to determine their liquid crystalline properties. |
