his passion and energy radiates through the students who belonged to his OL group.

October 2014
Anna Fischer

Anna Fischer has been chosen as our October Student of the Month. Anna goes above and beyond the call of duty in her service as an education student and a consultant in the AQ Writing Center. She is deeply committed to excellence in her work. More than once Anna has stayed beyond her official consulting shift in order to meet the needs of student-writers. If there is a project or a need, Anna is the first to raise her hand to help. Students request her consulting services because of her patient attention to detail and her ability to assess various learning and writing styles and to articulate individualized strategies for approaching writing tasks. Students specifically ask for her assistance, and the Writing Center

receives regular positive comments from students and faculty members who are grateful for Anna’s work. Anna was lead presenter in a conference session on “Consulting with Writers on the Autism Spectrum: A Model,” hosted by the Michigan Writing Centers Association (MWCA) in October. Anna has been on the Dean’s list for five semesters.
