| Elementary Education Endorsement (Graduate) |
This program is designed to add an elementary education endorsement to a secondary teacher's Michigan certification. (For information on M.A.T. program options available to certified elementary teachers, see M.A.T. Elementary Education Concentration.)

The secondary teacher desiring to add an elementary endorsement (without the M.A.T. degree) to a teaching certificate will complete a minimum of 21 credit hours in the elementary area (courses with asterisk *) plus earn a passing score on the state Elementary Education test). A practicum requirement is dependent upon the teaching experience of the candidate. The M.A.T. degree with an Elementary Endorsement requires a minimum of 36 credit hours.
