Aquinas College has one of the very first Student Chapters of ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development), having formed this chapter in 1996. Students in the School of Education were instrumental in developing the chapter and continue to maintain it with a process of revolving team leadership.
Recognizing the importance of professional development, the Aquinas ASCD Student Chapter offers a series of workshops each year, focusing on issues near and dear to the hearts of teacher candidates, as well as work to enhance the overall experience for Education students at Aquinas.
