Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering Major (BS) or Accelerated Masters degree (5 years)
WMU - AQ Engineering Partnership
Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering Degree
(undergraduate or accelerated Masters degree)
Aquinas College and Western Michigan University have a new agreement as of January 2020 for the Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering degree. Students may obtain an Associate of Science degree from Aquinas College (two years) and continue at Western Michigan for their undergraduate degree (two years) or their accelerated Master’s degree, which can be obtained in one additional year. Aquinas College provides (60-65) semester hours in liberal arts, science, and pre-engineering courses which have been approved by the Western Michigan University Curriculum Committee for support of the Engineering degree. Western Michigan University provides (60) undergraduate credit hours for the undergraduate degree, or 90 credit hours for the Master’s degree. Students interested in the Engineering program will work with the Western Michigan University Engineering Program Coordinator on the Aquinas College campus.
The undergraduate degree requires eight (8) semesters of study with four (4) semesters at Aquinas College and four (4) semesters at Western Michigan University. The Master’s degree is an accelerated program that requires ten (10) semesters of study, with four (4) semesters at Aquinas College and six (6) semesters at Western Michigan University. The program is designed that students may at least take some of their classes at the WMU-Grand Rapids Downtown campus; the remainder of the classes will be taken at the main WMU campus in Kalamazoo.
