Fine Arts AQDays - Friday, March 20, 2009
 
Fine Arts AQDays are for students interested in Theatre, Music, Art and Creative Writing. Come and discover what studying the arts at Aquinas is all about! Choose two of the 14 entertaining breakout sessions, view an exhibit of current students' work in the Art Gallery, explore our 107 acre campus, have lunch with potential classmates and meet and chat with faculty from your specific area of interest.
 
Sessions Include: Technical Theatre, Acting, Poetry, Writing Poetry about Art , Instrumental Jazz Improv, Vocal Music, Gesture Drawing, Collograph Printmaking, Sculpture, Short Fiction, Mobiles, Creative Nonfiction, Photograms and Digital Art.

Did you know…
  • Music Professor Paul Brewer taught five-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.
  • Grand Rapids opened a new $75 million Art Museum in 2007. The museum is the first newly constructed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Art Museum in the world.
  • Aquinas Performing Arts Center was opened in 2003.
  • Aquinas is home to the Contemporary Writers Series which has featured many famous writers including Michael Ondaatje, Seamus Heaney and Stuart Dybek.
