Michigan Tuition Grants
The State of Michigan Tuition Grant program is designed to assist those students who prefer to attend a private, nonprofit college or university. You may be eligible for a grant, which may be used for tuition and fees, depending on financial need as determined by a released copy of your FAFSA. You must also complete the State application on the form and indicate Aquinas as your first-choice school. To be eligible, you must be a legal resident of Michigan and be enrolled or accepted as a student at a private nonprofit college.

Michigan Adult Part-Time Grant Program
Continuing Education Students ONLY
The Michigan Adult Part-Time Grant Program is designed to provide grant assistance for needy adults who enroll at approved public or private degree-granting Michigan colleges on a part-time basis. Grants of up to $600 per year are available for not more than two years of study. To qualify, students must:
  • Be enrolled on a part-time basis (3 to 11 credit hours) as an undergraduate student at a participating Michigan degree-granting college or university,
  • Qualify as a self-supporting student according to current federal criteria,
  • Demonstrate financial need for funds,
  • Be out of high school (other than GED or adult education) for at least two years,
  • Have been a Michigan resident for at least 12 months,
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident,
  • Not be incarcerated in a corrections institution,
  • Not be enrolled in a program leading to a degree in theology or divinity,
  • Not be in default on a Michigan Guaranteed Student Loan or Michigan Auxiliary Loan,
  • Be making satisfactory academic progress, as defined by Aquinas College.
When funds are insufficient to meet the needs of all eligible applicants, participating colleges will target available funds to students with the greatest financial need.
