Family Scholarship Endowment Program

For some Aquinas students, receiving a scholarship can make all the difference!

Scholarships make pursuing a college degree more affordable, which allows Aquinas College to serve more students and fulfill our mission to provide a liberal arts education infused with the Catholic Dominican values of prayer, study, service and community. You can be part of this exciting mission by considering an endowed scholarship named for your family!
Endowed scholarships provide a sustainable source of funding for scholarships, and offer you, the donor, the opportunity to determine the requirements for scholarship recipients. This ensures that the scholarship reflects the spirit and intent of you and your family. Naming an endowed scholarship also offers an opportunity to honor people or organizations important to you. This is one way you and Aquinas College can partner to fulfill our educational mission.
In honor of Aquinas College’s 125th anniversary, the College has established a goal to create 125 new endowed scholarships by June 30, 2012. The minimum level for endowing a scholarship is $30,000, and this allows you and your family the freedom to design the scholarship as you wish.
However your family is involved with the Aquinas community, you are invited to consider establishing a Family Legacy Scholarship to help us reach this goal. We welcome your contribution as, together, we build upon our legacy to sustain Aquinas College for another 125 years.
One Family's Story

The Hillary Family

“Are you ready to change the life of an Aquinas College student and start a family tradition?  Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed family members can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. Assisting a student’s rise (or journey) through education may provide one of the most powerful life-changing events that positively affects his or her quality of life.

Last winter, as Aquinas College began approaching its 125th year anniversary, we received a call asking if we would consider starting a Hillary Family scholarship for the school.  Needless to say, because we are fairly new alums of the college, we never thought that we would be able to contribute enough funds to start a scholarship.

After a few family dinners and discussions we started to realize that this was something important, and we made the decision to move forward. We are thrilled that, as of today, we have raised more than the minimum, over $32,000 from family members.”

With every new endowed scholarship, a seed is planted, the fruit of which will be in the lives of students who are touched by your generosity.
