The first annual AQ Run Thru 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk was held on Oct. 3, 2009 as part of Homecoming festivities. The course takes you on a scenic route through and around Aquinas College, highlighting the nature trails and many of the new additions to the campus. The courses are made to accommodate the most experienced runners as well as participants with no prior experience. |

| Kid's Food Basket |
| AQ Run Thru is proud to support Kid's Food Basket of Grand Rapids. Proceeds of the event will benefit childhood hunger in Grand Rapids by providing a child with a sack supper weekdays throughout the school year and the summer. |
| In addition to the race proceeds, participants are encouraged to donate trail mix supplies to Kid's Food Basket. If you would like to help, please bring any of the following items with you on race day: peanuts, raisins, M&Ms, bags of pretzels, Cheez-It crackers, Goldfish crackers or Honey Nut Cheerios. |

| We will also be collecting canned goods to donate to God’s Kitchen. Every can helps and it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to bring canned goods, there will be collection boxes in the hospitality tents |
