About Claudia:

My job at Aquinas combines the things I value the most in life; traveling, education and culture. I grew up in Managua, Nicaragua, where I studied International Trade and Business. I moved to Grand Rapids two years ago in order to pursue my Masters in Public Administration. My experience as an international student in Grand Rapids not only made me grow as a professional, but also helped me find a second place I can call home. Because of my personal experience, I am passionate about helping international students find their right institutional fit, which led me to take over the role of international recruiter at Aquinas College. Now I have the opportunity to serve international students from all over the world (except Canada), as well as students from six different counties in Michigan.

One of my priorities is increasing the number of international students at Aquinas College. It is exciting to know that we are able to welcome students of all different backgrounds and cultures to our campus in Grand Rapids. I can tell you from experience that, no matter where you are from, the Aquinas community will make you feel at home!

About Josh:

One tour of Aquinas’s beautiful campus in Grand Rapids, MI was all it took for me to fall in love with the family like community that is Aquinas College. After growing up just a few miles away from campus in Grand Rapids, I joined the Aquinas community first as a transfer student from Grand Rapids Community College in 2010. During my time on-campus I was involved with student government and service learning. In 2012, I completed my Bachelors in Community Leadership and Business Administration. Knowing that I wanted to work at a college or university, I

continued my education at Grand Valley State University, graduating in 2014 with a Masters in College Student Affairs Leadership.

I rejoined the Aquinas Community in August 2014 as an Admissions Representative. I am excited to share the good news about Aquinas with students and their families. My recruitment territory includes 29 counties in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Canada. I look forward to seeing you here on campus, and showing you the place that will become your new home and family!
