Accreditation

 

Aquinas College has maintained accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission since 1946.

 

Reaccreditation Self-Study

Accreditation provides assurance to the public - in particular to prospective students and institution stakeholders - that the College meets accreditation criteria and that the College has plans and procedures in place to continue to meet those standards well into the future.

 

Aquinas College completed its most recent re-accreditation review in 2010-2011. For two years the College worked to assemble a Self-Study Report (pdf) to document evidence of how the College is meeting accreditation criteria and to identify areas for possible improvement.

 

Higher Learning Commission Mark of Affiliation
A review team from the Higher Learning Commission conducted an on-site visit March 28-30, 2011.  Following the subsequent formal review process, Aquinas College was awarded continued accreditation for a full ten years. The College will submit a Monitoring Report in 2013-2014 to provide evidence that the College is making adequate progress with regard to the assessment of student learning.
