Aquinas Departments & Programs
Many Aquinas students choose to train for the teaching profession, and of those students, a number choose to major in a language with the hopes of teaching at the primary or secondary level.
International Business
As the business world becomes increasingly dominated by global forces, students with a B.S. in International Business and a strong background in a second language will continue to be in demand among employers. The Department of World Languages works closely with the Department of Business Administration to prepare students for this challenging field.
International Studies
The study of a second language is an excellent preparation for students who wish to work in international politics and development. The International Studies program, offers a major in international studies, an interdisciplinary degree including the study of a second language, economics, geography, history, and politics.
Service Learning
Students can also gain valuable experience in the context of another culture by participating in one of Aquinas College's Service-Learning programs, which are jointly taught by faculty within and outside the Modern Languages Department.
