The Circulation Department is responsible for the lending of all library materials, including Course Reserve. For questions about services or policies, please contact Pam Luebke, Public Service Librarian, 632-2137.
 
Students, staff, and faculty must present a current Aquinas College ID to check out Library material.
 
Community members must be members of a Michicard library in order to obtain borrowing privileges at the Grace Hauenstein Library. When checking out items, borrowers must present either a state-issued photo ID, or their Aquinas College library card.
 
Reference books, periodicals and other non-circulating materials circulate only by special permission of a Librarian.

Copy Machines
Copy Machines are available in the library. Charges are as follows:
B&W photocopies $0.10
UMI (full-image) copies $0.10
Canon (microform) copies $0.10
Color copies (8.5 x 11) $0.35
Color copies (11 x 17) $0.70
Color transparencies $1.35
Aquinas faculty, staff, and students may charge copies to their library card. Maximum amount that may be charged is $10. All copy charges must be paid by the end of each semester.
 
InterLibrary Loan
Aquinas faculty, staff, and students may request to borrow materials from other libraries by filling out an Interlibrary Loan form. When item(s) have been received, they may be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
 
Holds
If an item is already checked-out, a "hold" may be placed on it, via TomCat, our library catalog. You will be notified when the item has been returned. It will be held at the Circulation Desk for one week.
 
Reserve Services
Certain item(s) are placed on reserve at the request of the course instructor to ensure each student will have access to assigned or recommended readings or items. These items may be on a one-hour to three-hours, one-day to three-days, or one-week to two week reserve. The Reserve Collection is located at the Circulation Desk. The books are grouped by professor name or course. All items must be requested and checked out from the Circulation Desk. All items on reserve are listed in TomCat. All Reserve items must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
 
Loan Periods
Library books may be renewed up to 2 times, provided nobody has placed a hold on them. Click here to renew.

Overdue Items and Fines
If items are not returned by their due dates, a notice will be sent. Overdue fines do not apply to books, but fines for overdue audio and video items are $1 per day. Until items become 30 days overdue, they can be renewed online, by phone, or in person. Replacement charges are applied when an item becomes 30 days overdue. There will be a $10 replacement processing fee in addition to the replacement cost for each item. These fees are removed if the item is returned.
