| The Circulation
Department is responsible for the lending of all library
materials, including Course Reserve. For questions about

| Students, staff, and
faculty must present a current Aquinas College ID to check out Library material. Community members must be members of a Michicard library in order to obtain borrowing privileges at the Grace Hauenstein Library, and must present a current public library card and valid Michigan ID to obtain an AQ Library card. |

| Black and white copies are $0.10 per page; color copies are $0.25 per page. |
| |
| InterLibrary Loan |
| Aquinas faculty, staff, and students
may request to borrow materials from other libraries by filling out an Interlibrary Loan form. When item(s)
have been received,
they may be picked up at the Circulation Desk. |

| Holds |
| If a book, CD, DVD or video is checked-out,
a "hold" may be placed on it, via TomCat. Email notifications will be sent out when
the item has been returned, and it will be held at the Circulation
Desk for one week. |

| Reserve Services |
| Certain item(s) are placed
on reserve at the request of the course instructor
to ensure each student will have access to assigned
or recommended readings or items. These items
may be on a one-hour to three-hours, one-day to
three-days, or one-week to two week reserve. The
Reserve Collection is located at the Circulation
Desk. The books are grouped by professor name
or course. All items must be requested and checked
out from the Circulation Desk. All items on reserve
are listed in TomCat. All Reserve items
must be returned to the Circulation Desk. |

| Overdue Items, Lost Items and Fines |
| If items are not returned by their
due dates, a notice will be sent. Overdue fines do not apply to books, but fines for overdue audio and video items are $1 per day. Unti books become 30 days overdue, they can be renewed online, by phone, or in person. Items more than 30 days overdue will be billed a $10 replacement processing fee in addition to their replacement costs. |

| Course Reserves |
Items (books, DVDs, articles, etc) may be placed
on reserve by instructors
to ensure each student will have access to them. These items
may be checked out by students for a period set by the instructor - 1-3 hours, 1-3 days, or 1-2 weeks. Reserve items will be checked out and returned by students at the Library's Circulation desk.
