Grace Hauenstein Library

Reference

The Reference Department, located on the Library's main floor, contains the Library's Reference and Serials Collections. The purpose of the these collections is to provide the standard scholarly, multidisciplinary, and news-oriented monographs, serial titles, and indexes necessary to support Aquinas College's liberal arts, career oriented curriculum. For questions about Reference services, contact Kriss Derks, Head of Reference Services at derkskri@aquinas.edu or (616) 632-2133.

The Reference Desk, also on the Library's main floor, is regularly staffed by librarians eager to help students, staff, and faculty with their homework, information, and research needs. Our librarians are also available to answer questions via email, text, and IM and telephone. See our staff directory to make an individual appointment with a specific librarian.

Librarians

Each librarian acts as a subject liaison, working with faculty in each department to acquire materials for the library and prioritize order requests for books, journals and other items. They also answer reference questions, offer individual appointments and conduct instructional sessions for classes in their liaison areas. >More information
