VICE PRESIDENT FOR AQUINAS COLLEGE ADVANCEMENT NAMED
October 12, 2007 - Aquinas College has selected a local attorney specializing in business and sports/entertainment law as its next vice president of Institutional Advancement. President Ed Balog announced today that Greg McAleenan of East Grand Rapids will lead advancement efforts on behalf of the College, starting November 1.
McAleenan, a practicing attorney since 1983, is a majority owner of Impact Management Company, LLC, a company that specializes in representing professional athletes and handling sports marketing. Capitalizing on his legal background, he handled playing contracts between athletes and prospective teams and developed sports marketing opportunities for players as well as businesses seeking sports-minded clients. Among his clients have been local professional baseball players, Chad Curtis and Brent Gates, the West Michigan Whitecaps, Texaco/Shell and Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
A native of East Grand Rapids, McAleenan graduated with honors from Williams College in Massachusetts and the University of Michigan Law School.
McAleenan will replace Mary Alice Williams who has served as interim director of Institutional Advancement since January.
