Getting Accepted into the MSB Program

Because our Master of Sustainable Business program is unique, so is the way we consider our applicants.

We expect students with undergraduate degrees in business, sustainable business, environmental studies, and environmental science to be the most likely applicants. However, other related undergraduate degrees along with an applicant's work experience will factor into the selection process.

The application process consists of:

• an online application
• official undergraduate transcripts
• official GRE or GMAT test results that must have been taken within the last five years
• an up-to-date resume
• three letters of recommendation
• an interview with the Chairperson of the Sustainable Business Department, Dr. Matthew Tueth. Contact Dr. Tueth directly at 616-632-2191 or tuethmat@aquinas.edu to schedule an appointment

International applicants are also required to submit official TOEFL scores. This requirement may be waived if the applicant is from a country where English is the official language.

While we look at these materials, we also factor in subjective answers that you provide in a 250-word essay explaining why you would like to enroll in the program. We consider a person’s motivation and interest in sustainable business as well as prior experience in various settings. We look at creativity, passion and one’s ability to be open-minded to spark the type of change needed in the business community.
