The mission of the Music Department in support of the mission of Aquinas College is to provide both to the music major and general education students: first, a deeper understanding and experience of music from the abundant diversity of cultures present today and through the ages; and, second, the verbal and technical skills to communicate that knowledge of music.


Newest Dual Major: Business and Music

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) Dual Major in Business and Music is an interdisciplinary degree designed for the Business student who is interested in Music Management.


With a dual major in Business and Music, graduates of the program are prepared for positions in for-profit and non-profit arts organizations, the recording industry, management, production, marketing and sales. Gilmore Young Artist Festival Recital

The AQ Music Department presents the Gilmore Young Artist Festival Recital. Andrew Hsu (piano), the 2014 Gilmore Young Artist, makes his solo debut at the festival in this recital featuring works by Copland, Mozart, Barber, and one of his own compositions.
