Dan Rickabus
Lecturer of Music - Songwriting, Studio Recording I and II


Dan Rickabus is a professional drummer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, educator and community organizer living in Grand Rapids. In the Fall of 2018, he began teaching as an adjunct professor at Aquinas leading MCTH 210 Songwriting. He has worked as facilitator with the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, editor of the official podcast of the Clean Water Campaign for Michigan as well as professional audiobooks, and has worked as an audio engineer at various studios in the city. With musical acts The Crane Wives, Public Access, Seth Bernard, Gifts or Creatures, Max Lockwood and more, he has travelled the country performing. Dan seeks to create, support and nourish art that resonates with others, to promote solidarity in the Michigan music community, to empower young people as well as learn from them, to carry on the legacy of the elders, and to help people of all walks of life create culture together and share in music.
