Welcome to Pre-Law

If you're interested in law, an Aquinas education will give you the academic background and relationships that are vital in the law school application process. The Pre-Law program at Aquinas provides a strong liberal arts foundation with an emphasis on developing solid analytical and writing skills. Aquinas offers courses which encourage critical reflection upon values, justice, and ethics in relationship to the law.

Law schools and the American Bar Association stress that those considering a legal career should be committed to promoting justice and serving others. Aquinas offers an array of co-curricular and volunteer opportunities which provide students with opportunities to serve. Service trips are offered throughout the year to provide service to the local area and world community. Residence hall service projects combine service to the community with groups of students engaged in study during the academic year.

The AQ Difference

Aquinas hosts representatives of law schools in Michigan each fall semester. Additionally, trips to national law school fairs are coordinated. These exchanges provide students with a chance to gather information, ask questions, and talk directly with law school admissions officers. >More

Moot Court Competition

"My favorite part of the competition was the actual argument portion. I enjoyed having the opportunity to present myself in front of real judges and have a true experience before entering law school." - Onyinye Ezeh
