The Aquinas Reading Clinic provides a guided environment where education students can apply their knowledge of teaching and learning in literacy. An elementary and secondary clinic is available.
The Aquinas Elementary Reading Clinic provides families of the community with reading diagnostic and instructional services for students from grades K - 4. The secondary clinic provides instructional services to students in grades 5 - 12.
Instructors in the tutoring program are Aquinas College students in advanced-level reading classes. Other reading tutors are graduate students in the Master’s with Initial Certification Program. Tutors design learning activities based on information provided by the student’s classroom teacher and parents, observations of the student during clinic sessions, and information gathered from diagnostic testing conducted during clinic sessions.
Information on Summer 2008 reading clinics will be available to families already on the mailing list in early May. Information will be made available to all others in early June, space permitting. Please check back for updates.
