| Off Campus Housing: AQ Community House |
In an effort to increase options for student housing and to strengthen Aquinas College's relationship with its neighbors
in the Eastown Neighborhood, the College has created the AQ |
 |
| Community House Program. The program combines opportunities for community leadership and service learning, while giving students real-world responsibilities in a residential environment. |

| The AQ Community House is a coeducational program and will house six students the first year, with a possible addition of two more students after the first year. It is open to upper class men and women who: |
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Are in good financial standing with the College
- Have been a previous AQ on-campus resident for at least one year
- Are currently enrolled full time for the full year
- Are a traditional age student
- Are enrolled in CL 399/Independent Project in Community Leadership

| Working with a faculty advisor, the students will be responsible for the following: |
- Attending Eastown Neighborhood Association meetings
- Developing and conducting service learning projects that will have positive impact on the neighborhood
- Maintaining the residence, internally and externally
- Convening regular meetings to engage and mentor students living in other rental units in the neighborhood
- Managing financial resources required for program activities and overhead
- Completing CL 399 course requirements

| Information Sessions will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 5 to 6 p.m. in Jarecki 235 and Wednesday, Jan. 20 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Wege Center Ballroom. |
