What is Service-Learning?
Service-Learning engages students in civic responsibility, critical thinking, and structured reflection by actively involving them in organized community service. This, in turn, prepares students for a lifetime of personal growth and social responsibility. AQ Service-Learning trips allow students to put their faith into action and practice the Dominican charisms of prayer, service, community and study.

Benefits of Service-Learning:
- Service-learning provides students with opportunities for structured reflection on their service experience.
- Service enhances students' learning; knowledge gained in the classroom can enhance their service in their own community.
- Service-learning integrates classroom theory with practical application in the real world.
- Service-learning places equal emphasis on service and learning goals. It benefits both the participants and the community.
