Move-In Schedule for Residential Students

If you are living on campus, please identify your room number and prepare your arrival for that time. Our helping Helping Hands Volunteers are at the ready to assist you in getting settled on campus. You will be receiving your Saints' Squad T-shirt so please be prepared to wear a white T-shirt for pictures after Convocation.

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Commuter Student Check-in at Welcome Tent
Please park in the Plymouth Lot (Robinson Road servicing the Circle Theatre/Performing Arts Center). Staff members and signage will help you find the Welcome Tent where the Student Affairs team will provide you with all of your materials and offer some information about the orientation weekend. You will be receiving your Saints' Squad T-shirt so please be prepared to wear a white T-shirt for pictures after Convocation. A changing location will be provided.

Campus & Community Luncheon

You will be able to interact with faculty, staff, alumni, and current students in an opening event that is a "float in and float out" type of experience. So, you will have time to unload your vehicles, grab a bite, and do some unpacking or errand running before Convocation. There is no program at the lunch, just a meet, greet, and eat... while we enjoy a beautiful day together and kick off the beginning of another great year at AQ.

Convocation

You will hear from AQ alumnus and AQ President, Dr. Juan Olivarez, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and students in your first academic ceremony. The event is approximately one hour and is an academic tradition that welcomes you into life as a college student.

Families Depart & Orientation begins

We give you a few minutes to wish one another well, but Orientation really does need to begin! So, students will remain in the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center while families depart. There will NOT be time to return to cars or residential areas with families, so plan to bring everything that you need to the Convocation program.

No one celebrates being s Saint more than our Saints' Squad and now you, Class of 2015, are now members! Learn from the pros about how to show your AQ pride during this informative and fun session! Class of 2016 students only.

Orientation 2012 Kickoff!

Your Orientation Leaders are so excited to kick-off the year with you in true OL style. We will review the weekend, talk about expectations and get you into your orientation groups. You will also learn about how you can earn $300 to the AQ Bookstore just by being at orientation each day.

Commuter Commotion & Orientation

This session is a resource fair dedicated to just the commuting student population. You will be able to visit with various campus departments, pick up your student IDs, access your fitness center passes, purchase AQ cash for your campus meal card (if you did not purchase a meal plan but want some money on your AQ ID), and meet various local vendors who can help you with your commute. You will also learn more about the Commuter Club and staying connected on campus.

Kick-off to Project Unite

Project Unite: Love Where You Live is an annual tradition that our newest students and our community experience together. For a period of two hours, our entire first year community breaks up into smaller groups and provides assistance to those in our neighborhoods.
