What is Our Purpose?
The program connects successful upperclassman mentors with first-year students to provide a smooth transition into the Aquinas College and Grand Rapids communities. These mentors provide a support system for the first-year students regarding academic success, life skills, and building healthy relationships.

What is the Program All About?
The mentor program provides a channel through which first-year students can get in contact with an upperclassman who knows what it is like to be a freshman. The program provides 12 different workshops throughout the year, free of charge, for mentors and mentees to attend. Other social activities and events are also provided.

Being A Mentor Means...
"Being a mentor means being resourceful, being accommodating, but most of all, being available. Friendship is a more important gift than simply providing good advice, because it combines being a good role model with being present when help is truly needed." - Emily Ferstle, Senior

"Being a mentor is an excellent opportunity to branch out, meet new people, and help guide first year students transition into the sometimes hectic but always exciting college life." - Loren Krajewski, Senior

"For me being a mentor is a chance to share my experiences. It is an opportunity for me to grow through others as well giving others the opportunity to grow through me." - Quiana Eagletail, Junior
