| The Summer 2013 semester begins May 13, 2013. Please see the individual course listings for specific dates; some courses meet for the first time before May 13. You may register via phone-mail 24 hours a day. You may review your course schedule on MyAQ; no printed verification will be mailed. Billing will follow from Student Accounts. Graduate students registering for graduate and undergraduate courses must call the School of Education Office at (616) 632-2440 or 1-888-329-2748. |

| MyAQ is an on-line resource available for current students to view their schedules, grades, financial information and to search for available classes in a given semester. Students are able to access the system at myaq.aquinas.edu using their ELM password (Electronic Login Manager). |

| Tuition per credit hour is $548 per credit hour. |

| Drop Dates |
| Students are responsible for initiating registration changes. Tuition refunds resulting from drops will be based on the date of official notification to the Graduate Education Office, not on the date that a class was last attended. Any course dropped after the dates and times listed below will be charged at the full tuition rate. |

| No-Show Policy |
Students who do not officially drop a class within the initial 14 day add/drop period and are administratively dropped from a class will be assessed a fee of $150 per class. For students officially dropping a class, either before the class starts or before the drop date for the class, there will be no charge. It is not the instructor’s responsibility to drop you from a class or to deliver your drop/add slip to the Graduate Education Office. |

| Please note: If a prerequisite is indicated, the prerequisite must be completed before coursework begins. Prerequisites cannot be taken concurrently with a course unless specifically indicated. |

| Additional Information for School of Education Graduate Students |
| Please note the following important information: |
- Additional activities beyond class meeting times will be required for all courses.
- Nine graduate credits are considered full time. Permission is required for more than twelve credits per semester.
- Parking permits are required and available at no charge at Campus Safety (616) 632-2462.
- Please notify the Graduate Education Office if you have an address or telephone number change. We attempt to contact students if a class is cancelled; keeping us updated could save you a trip to campus later.
- All coursework for the M.Ed. or MAT degree must be completed within five years of the time enrolled in the first Master's course.

| Michigan Basic Skills Test |
| A passing score on the Michigan Basic Skills Test is required for all students enrolled in course work leading to teacher certification. Contact the School of Education at (616) 632-2800 for dates and registration materials. |

| Michigan Subject Area Tests |
| Prior to certification, all education students must pass tests in their major and minor areas. Elementary certification candidates must pass an elementary education test as well. Contact the School of Education for dates and registration materials. |

| Application for Student Teaching |
| A candidate planning to student teach in the Spring of 2014 is required to submit a completed Student Teaching Application by 4 p.m. on September 15, 2013.* Contact the School of Education for application materials. There is a $150 non-refundable late fee for applications received after the deadline. No applications will be accepted beyond ten business days after the stated deadline. Late applications are not guaranteed placement in the desired semester. |

| State Competency Tests |
| Any MAT student adding an endorsement to a Michigan teaching certificate must pass the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) for that endorsement area only. Contact the School of Education for additional information and registration materials. |

| Application for Degree |
| A student completing a master's degree must complete an application for degree one semester prior to the anticipated graduation date (December, May, or August). Contact the School of Education to obtain an application for degree. |

| Field Components |
Many M.Ed. courses require a field component during daytime hours. You are encouraged to contact your education advisor or the instructor prior to registration for specific field component information. |

| Donnelly Scholarships/Hruby Scholarships |
| New or prospective students may be eligible for tuition assistance. For information or to apply for the first time, please call Adult Student Recruitment at (616) 632-2923. If you have already received a Hruby or Donnelly Scholarship, please call Financial Aid at (616) 632-2893 each time you register for classes so the scholarship will be posted to your account. |

| Accounts Receivable Information |
Payment is due in full by the first day of each semester unless you have applied and paid for our Multiple Payment or Employer Reimbursement plans. Unpaid accounts will receive AR HOLDS barring further registration until charges are paid in full, and will result in the application of interest charges of 1% per month. | Student Photo ID |
A student photo ID is necessary to use the services of the Grace Hauenstein Library and the computer labs. You may have the ID prepared at Campus Safety. |
