Welcome to Aquinas College class of 2018!  For those of you who have received your letter of admission to Aquinas College, congratulations on your accomplishment!


As a new student to Aquinas, we are sure you have many questions regarding your enrollment in the fall.  We hope this page will give you quick access to areas on our website that will help you with those questions. Also, be sure to download our AQ mobile app from the iTunes store and follow us on Twitter @AQadmissions to get timely information throughout the year.

 

Admitted students who have not visited Aquinas yet are encouraged to attend one of our upcoming General AQDay, Admitted Student Day or Club AQ (attend classes and overnight program in Aquinas' Residence Halls) programs.

Advanced Placement/CLEP/IB Credit Information

Aquinas College awards credit for the Advanced Placement Program (AP) through the College Board.  Aquinas College will accept credit hours for those courses that are considered comparable to courses offered at Aquinas College with a minimum score of 3, 4 or 5 (at the point of their 1st registration at Aquinas College) depending on the specific course.  Appropriate exemption, placement and acceptability of AP credit toward specific majors are evaluated by the academic department concerned. For information about AP, write: College Board Advanced Placement Examinations, Box 977, Princeton, New Jersey 08540

Aquinas College awards credit for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) through the College Board.  Aquinas College will accept credit hours for those courses that are considered comparable to courses offered at Aquinas College that have the minimum American Council on Education (ACE) recommended score.  Acceptability of examinations toward specific majors is evaluated by the academic department concerned. For information about CLEP, write: College-Level Examination Program, Box 1824, Princeton, New Jersey 08540

 

Aquinas College awards credit for the International Baccalaureate Program (IB), an internationally recognized, pre-university curriculum that offers 11th and 12th grade students the opportunity to earn credits, or a diploma, based on an academically challenged integrated curriculum and international standards.  Aquinas College will accept the Higher Level (HL) courses and exams with a minimum score of 5 for general college credit.  Credit may be awarded within a specific department only with further approval of the department. 

 

*There is a combined credit hour maximum of 30 hours for any AP (Advanced Placement, CLEP (College Level Examination Program) or IB (International Baccalaureate) Program.
