SOLIDARITY MATTERS: Anti-racism March and Art Dedication

1:20 March begins from St. Thomas Statue to White Pine Lane to Beech Lane to Elderberry and ending at CCH

1:30 Art dedication ceremony at Cook Carriage House

Join the AQ community in a solidarity march beginning at the St. Thomas statue and ending at the Cook Carriage House for a dedication and blessing of artwork from the Windows GR project. “Windows GR is a public activation project created to paint boarded up windows in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. In response to the death of George Floyd, police brutality and systematic racism this project aims to highlight black voices and stories”. The art was then auctioned and Student Senate purchased two pieces of art, one of which was painted by Aquinas alumna Jessa Challa ‘17. March with us and stand as one as we support and lift up the voices of our Black students, faculty, staff, and alumni. (Limited capacity, masks are required, with safety protocols in place. This event will be live streamed for those who cannot attend).
