Self Service Portal FAQs

The Self Service Portal allows students to grant third-party individuals access to their student records.

 

Who do I contact for help?

If you are having difficulty logging into the system or have forgotten your username and password, please contact the Aquinas College ITS Helpdesk at (616) 632-2050. Please have your student's name, your relationship to them, and your student's ID ready.

For questions concerning your student's bill or account balance, please contact Student Accounts at 616-632-2864.

 

Is the Self Service Portal compliant with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)?

Yes, the Self-Service Portal is compliant with FERPA.  Your student is the only person that can elect and change the access of their proxies. For more information on Aquinas College’s FERPA policy, click here. 

 

How can I change my email address?

  1. Log into the Self Service Portal
  2. At "Select the person's account you want to view," select your own record. It should be the top one on the list.  Click "Continue."
  3. In the upper right area of the browser screen, click on your name and select "User Profile."
  4. Scroll down to the email address section.
  5. Click "Add New Email" and fill in new email address.  Make sure to check the "Preferred" check box and click "Add Email."
  6. To remove the old email, click the X to the right of the old email.  Click "Yes" on the Remove Email Address verification window that pops up.

 

How can I change my phone number?

  1. Log into the Self Service Portal
  2. At "Select the person's account you want to view," select your own record. It should be the top one on the list.  Click "Continue."
  3. In the upper right area of the browser screen, click on your name and select "User Profile."
  4. Scroll down to the Phone Numbers section.
  5. Click "Add New Phone" and fill in your phone number, and the extension. Select the appropriate type of phone number from the dropdown box and click "Add Phone"
  6. To remove the old Phone, click the X to the right of the old Phone number.  Click "Yes" on the Remove Phone Number verification window that pops up.
