About AQ L.I.G.H.T.

AQ L.I.G.H.T. stands for Living in God's Hands Together.

This group of students committed to the inspiring of faith in the youth of the community. The group plans and facilitates retreats for middle school and high school youth from area schools and parishes.

They meet once a week to plan for retreats and grow in fellowship as a group.

Religious Education and Youth Ministry Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available to help with religious education at different parishes in Grand Rapids. Help the next generation of Catholics grow in their faith and love of God by working with these parishes!

St. Alphonsus
Volunteers are always welcome to help with pre-K through high school faith formation. For more info, contact the Faith Formation office at (616) 459-5472.

Cathedral of St. Andrew
The mother church for the Diocese of Grand Rapids welcomes volunteer catechists and youth ministers to work with students from middle to high school. Youth Ministry meetings are Wednesdays from 6pm-8:30pm. Youth service opportunities occur twice monthly on Saturday mornings.
