Erin Quinn, instructor, has over 34 years of Irish Dance experience and over 20 years teaching experience. Quinn began her dance career at the age of 5 with the O’Hare School of Irish Dance in the Detroit area. She continued with the O’Hare School for 15 years competing across the US, Canada, and Ireland winning many awards at the regional and national levels.

Following her competitive career, Quinn began teaching with the O’Hare School and eventually opened her own studio, The Quinn School of Irish Dance in 2001. After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology she went on to receive her teaching certification through An Commission le Rince Gaelacha in Dublin, Ireland in January of 2002. She toured professionally with the Trinity Irish Dance company for their European tour in 1999 and was then selected as part of the cast of Riverdance. She toured on Riverdance’s Flying Squad from 1999-2004 while simultaneously running her own dance studio. In 2005 Quinn graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Kellogg Community College and has worked as a registered nurse at Oaklawn Hospital for 12 years.

Over the past 2 decades, Quinn has taught hundreds of students from age 5 - 60, from beginner to championship. Many of Quinn’s dancers have gone on to join college club teams, tour in professional shows, teach, and pursue Master’s degrees in Irish Dance. She is excited about developing the Irish Dance Club at Aquinas and sharing her passion for Irish Dance with the Grand Rapids community.
