While in Washington (1997-99), he was the geographer for the Washington Household Needs Assessment Survey. This project was a complex and comprehensive survey of alcohol and drug use by citizens in the State of Washington. Here at Aquinas, he is responsible for teaching many of the human and cultural geography courses offered by the department and specializes in economic, industrial, and urban geography.
