Biography

Dr. McCarty is a long-time AQ Saint! First as a student, then as an adjunct faculty and finally as a full- time tenured professor. Dr. McCarty is mathematics educator, preparing future teachers to be the best math teachers in their own classrooms through deepening their understanding of content and exploring research-based pedagogies. Her research interests include opportunities for higher order thinking afforded to students in both face-to-face and virtual classrooms.
