President Quinn has been nominated as a 2017 Newsmaker of the Year by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. The award is decided by the publication's reporters and editors among more than 225 choices in 16 different categories. President Quinn is one of three nominees in the education category, including Thomas Haas of GVSU and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.
The winner in each category and the overall winner will be announced at an event at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park on January 31.
