Graduation

Aquinas graduates during commencement

There are three graduation periods each year in December, May, and August. Aquinas College holds one graduation ceremony each May. The previous December graduates and upcoming May and August graduates are invited to participate. Students must be accepted to the graduation list by applying to graduate via the Application for Degree Candidacy form in order to participate in the ceremony.

Honors are granted to Undergraduate students based on the following cumulative GPAs:
3.500-3.699 - Cum Laude
3.700-3.899 - Magna Cum Laude
3.900-4.000 - Summa Cum Laude

Honor cords will be awarded to students based on their most recent completed semester cumulative GPA. For example, Fall semester grades will be included if the student is approved for graduation the following Spring. Quad grades in the Spring will not be considered. Honor cords will be included in the student's cap and gown order. Honors will appear in the commencement program as well as on the final transcript and diploma. A final audit will be completed after the commencement date when final grades are submitted to reevaluate honors status.
